Art-Gang and Pirate Stitching Club are organizing a textile art exhibition together. There’s around 20 different textile artists who are joining. There will be all different kinds of textile art, from crochet to weaving to quilting and more. October:1st 17:00-22:002nd 17:00-22:003rd and 4th 15:00-20:00 At Boomgaardsstraat 69 in S/ash Gallery in WORM Rotterdam We open on Thursday the 1st during our Art-Gang meeting. Come to the opening and do a making-session with us. There will be materials and people who can teach and of course a lot of amazing art! You can also follow a tour to learn more about the different art pieces. On Friday the 2nd we are having a performance night. Throughout the night there will be small performances. And you can also do a scavenger hunt during the night and learn more about the art in our exhibition. On Saturday the 3rd there will be a workshop called The Political Comforter:In a cozy group setting we discuss politics and what’s going on in our communities while making little quilt blocks that will be used for a collaborative community quilt. Join in for a more relaxed way to take in the news and meet people in your community. All materials and supplies are provided, but you’re always welcome to bring any fabrics or sewing tools you like. No quilting experience is needed, we can teach you everything you need to know to make a quilt block. All we ask is you bring an open and respectful attitude. On Sunday the 4th you can join Pirate Stitching Club and find a crew of pirates with their hooks and yarn gathering at the exhibition. Mimi Van Rinsum will give a workshop on freehand crochet, where you can learn to experiment and play with basic crochet stitches.Join us for the workshop session, craft time and exploring the exhibition!
